1.) Lacking education or knowledge.
2.) Showing or arising from a lack of education or knowledge: an ignorant mistake.
3.) Unaware or uninformed.
With all due respect Hustle, making a blanket statement about cars based on their country of origin IS ignorant. If someone said, "all imports are reliable, but slow", you would not call that ignorant?
This is a free country and we can all say/believe what we choose, but that freedom does not exempt us from being ignorant...Your own statement shown above proves my point. Your classification of imports include Hyundai, Kia, Daewoo, and so forth. Yeah, because those makes are just SO reliable, and ooze quality and reliability
lease: Furthermore, I really don't think every member of this site agrees on one single thing. Everyone here has their own opinions and beliefs, and I respect ALL of them in their right to exist (even yours), I just don't think that all of them are accurate.I have never made any assumptions about ANY car, especially those that I have not driven or owned. Those who do are just asking to look like an ***. I am only saying that people are too quick to judge cars that do not fall within their area of admiration.

Actually, I can, and I would be correct in doing so.

. I should have known that a justified, reasonable response to your ridiculous statement was a waste of time to begin with
I see you are incapable of participating in a car based discussion that goes beyond "doh, dumbestics/ricers suck". Next time I'll know to just respond with some kiddie emoticon of some sort.
Dude you should SEE how fast I compose my posts and type
I wish I could drive that fast
Anyways I am pretty bored because school does not start up again until Wednesday, so I have time to waste for now
You are right though...I don't know why I bother?
People are just going to believe what they want to believe, no matter what I say.
Okay, all cars suck then, so no more arguing

The side scoops ARE functional (at least on 94-95s that I can say for sure),
and the hood scoops can be made functional very easily on the GTs. In order to make the scoop functional, one only needs to remove the honeycomb grille...The ONLY reason it was not done from the factory was to make sure that the car was as silent as possible. A scoop on a hood is not even in the same league as adding a ROOF scoop to a non mid engine vehicle

lease:Secondly, isn't rice classified by *most* people as a car that LOOKS fast, and can't back it up?
Same thing... if you take a 9 second car (which is obviously fast) and put a fake dual exhaust on it, that is still rice, even if the car is still fast. It looks like a high performance mod but it doesn't do anything. Rice.
The 99+ GT with 260 hp stock is capable of high 13 second-low 14 second quarter mile times. How is that rice?
I'm sure you'll come up with some witty, anti "dumbestic" answer, but I've made my point.

lease: Nice try, but I just owned you (except for the 94-95 brake scoop thing, if they're actually functional.) Yep man, you really "OWNED" me.
You succeeded in proving a miniscule point that still doesn't negate the amount of performance you get for under $25K new. A 14 second stocker is certainly rice because it possess a hood that requires aftermarket ram air. I'll still gladly drive a 260hp "ricer".
And yes, it's very rare for people to judge reasonably fast cars as rice. If I had a quarter for every time I heard, "Yah it's ricey, but it can back it up" toward even the ugliest and most hideous of ricers...well, it would buy some poor unfortunate GT a ram air kit
