Headers Again (Sorry) 
Need some serious help here everyone... Heres what I got... 02 Civic EX 5Sp Coupe. AEM CAI w/ By-Pass & Tanabe Super Racing Cat-Back. Frist thinking of replacing CAI with the AEM V2 CAI. Also what headers (and/or) High Flow Cat should I get? So far I leaning towards the Kamikaze headers ($260 shipped) with the Random Tech Cat ($300 Shipped). But there is also the DC Sports Headers ($275 Shipped) or the HP Headers with High Flow Cat ($310 Shipped). I'm also looking at a VIS Carbon Fiber Evo Style Hood. Please help and please only serious replys. THANKS!!! 
dont get the DC Sports...if you have an EX, which you do, they're practically identical. I am personally in the midst of buying a header and cat right now, and Im going to get the Megan Racing header, and either the Megan Racing cat/downpipe, or the Random Tech. The Random Tech is supposed to pass emissions, but I bet the Megan Racing cat, which really isnt a cat I dont think, would perform better. I need to see how often I would have to switch my stock back in for inspection. So it depends on where you live and how much you want to do. I know that in Virginia it is illegal to switch out the cat, unless it has been damaged (screwdriver anyone?), or the car is at least like 6 years old. So make your own choice on that.
As far as the intake, don't waste your money on the V2. Little if any difference between that and the CAI. If you want performance, go with the K&N FIPK II. Ive heard of them for about $200, but I don't know much more than that. If you want performance, that's the best intake for our cars. Hope that helped somehow.

i would go with megan...from what ive heard, they are cheap and pretty good quality. Maybe not quite as good quality as Kamikaze and HP, which are the best out there, but a good bang for the buck if nothing else.
as a side note, im negotiating for a Megan header right now...i'll let you know how it is if I get it.

i don't think Bomz is a generic, they have their own website at www.bomzracing.com and ads in HT. i have no idea what their product quality is like. go check it out!

i still think they're generic though. I haven't seen a product from them thats not.
still the same Made in Taiwan stuff.. twenty bucks the company founders are chinese...
reason being is cuz all these "companies" were all chinese people from El Monte.
maybe they're going to start making their own stuff though. *shrug*

there's a reason why their products are the same. if you buy a header from bombz, its the same one from megan.

Rep Power: 528 Yeah, I also recommend not switching AEM for the V2. K&N FIPK II has the best gains.

as we all know, the ONLY way we can get significant gains from a header on a D17 is to get a full offroad header from megan racing or hp racing, the ones with the test pipe. But i live in boston and we have emissions testing here so its damn illegal to remove my cat (~25,000 fine)
So would this work?
1. Purchase Highflow cat, & purchase Megan Racing Header
2. Saw off the test pipe and weld on the high flow cat
3. install!

Rep Power: 381 I personally don't think removing the stock cat is legal in any way, even if replaced with aftermarket cat, if the car is new and under no circumstances the cat needs to be removed.
You should go with DC, most people, including me, don't think it will have any gain; however, members that have them do say the header does give gains. It's your choice.
