K what is this i hear about b series motor mounts? Who makes them? Do you have a link or anything? fill me in....i would much rather have a b series than the k series for money reasons simply.
yeah i want to see him hit 400hp on a stock turbod engine running 20 psi...hell youd need at least a sleeved block to run over 15psi and i'm sure the connection rods would fail long before that not to mention our axles are good to just above 300hp.
Quick solve to this problem, buckler1987 can you please post some pictures and dyno results. If you can then WOW, wholly crap, GREAT JOB!!!! But if you can't then hmmm, not calling you a lyer, but I can't really say I believe you either.

I've seen your rolecall and If I had built internals and a turbo I'm pretty sure you would have mentioned it. Especially since you felt the need to mention items such as APC, Altezza tail lights, etc.... Anyway, Post pics and dyno if you can, if not, it's cool keep up the mods and maybe some day you will get that 402hp d17 on 20psi you want! buckler1987 is driving a Civic LX, according to his profile he was born June 1 1987, which means he is 16. Now in the wonderful state of PA, it is required for you to have your permit for 6 months before you can get your license. I know this because my 16 year old sister has to do it and she was born June 6 1987. So with that said, you are telling us you got all this done and driving it in about 2 weeks time? Something doesnt smell right..... and its not last nights dinner!!!

Guys stop fighting. The original question was weather it is better toswap or build. If you want to retain an all motor setup and have money to spend all at once, then by means go with the k20. But, since the RSX and civic dont have a huge weight diff like the DC2 had compared to the EG hatch (2670 vs. 2100 or less) will give you less results and a simple swap will not go trully fast-- but you will have a reliable honda built motor that has a stronger tranny and more potential to build due to its great design. If you go all motor on the d17, then u are limiting yourself to smaller gains than the k20, but it would be less expensive and still get the job done. Plus, its nice to have a built motor, so you can run forced induction later without rebuilding again. If you want crazy power and will invest a lot of time and money into the whole project, then go swapping. If you want to build amotor that you already have, have less money, and are willing to see good but not super crazy results, then go with turboing the stock d17. IMO, I would do motor build of the d17. You bought a civic, dont try to make it an RSX, bc all the money spent will equal to the value of an RSX, which will be a little slower than you if you swap. If you want the motor, buy the car. If you want to be original, then swap. If you want to see something very small push out a lot, then go with your original motor. DH racing is a great start.
