$500 good for a CF hood?
This shop near me are having a discount on CF hoods, they are selling them for 500 bucks. You guys think its a good deal or not really. I know they are cheaper online but since I got jipped while ordering online a couple times I'm kinda affraid now. SO 500 bucks a decent deal?

Nice vid, doesnt mean anything. Fiber Images uses a high K count, and to my knowledge, they are the only ones, atleast within the major manufacturers.
I use the 3K on my parts most of the time, depending on what Im making. I can send you a pic of me standing on one of the pillars. LOL I can bend it in half and it pops right back into place, no scratches or anything. That vid has nothing to do with the K count, but there hoods are bad a$$.
$450 is a deal for a FI hood. If i didnt already have one, I'd jump on it.
thats a nice video... are all CF hoods flexible like that?
BTW, i dont really care if its flexible or that its light, i just think it'll look hot cuz it will break the monotone color on my car

Another thing to think of is that you could get some performance mods for that $500. dhracing pulleys, FIPK, header, new tires, lightweight rims, etc.
Just other options to think about before dropping a large amount of money.

The only performance mod I would consider spending money on is a turbo, everything else is a waste of money. I need my car to get me from point A to point B without any racing involved. I dont race and dont plan to so performance mods are out.
And in case you guys were wondering what the real price is without the sale... its 750 bucks
I live on the border of philly/suburbs and there are like 3 car accessories stores and the prices are rediculous. I wish I lived in Cali or Texas cuz from what I understand things are really cheap down there

So are you just getting the hood for looks, then?
You might want to think about suspension mods. They make a bigger difference for our cars than acceleration mods anyway. I dunno what you have already but if you have money to spend you should get a 19mm RSX rear sway bar if you don't have one already. It will be like $70 or so.
Suspension mods may actually save your life one day. You never know.
Anyway, just my opinion.
Good luck with whatever you decide to get.
