if u want a chip go with either JET Chip which most people prefer.
Or you can go with what I did and get the Venom 400 Controle Module.
I know that http://www.nopionline.com has the JET Chip.
or go here http://www.coximport.com/venom/400.html for the Venom 400 info.

I sent my comp to jet all they did was advance the timing curves dump more fuel which took a lot off the top end. Get the VAFC II and have it dyno tuned by a PRO and your set.
All these products such as jet chip and venom 400 do is advance the ignition curves and dump more fuel this is a waste of money i have 2 friends that own to different shops the best way to go is Hondata or Skunk 2 ECU. If nothing is out there then wait all your going to do is F#ck the car up. Many companies dont understand how our cars work try and trick the ecu/ecm and it will go to loop mode and thats what jet/venom do mess your car up
Yeah, there is a thread about how Jet f'd up some member's rides, specifically cutting the fuel at like 4500 RPM.
And Yeah, I am too lazy to search for it right now.
Hondata doesn't have anything for the D17 (nor, rumor has it, will they any time soon)

/\ nope hondata has replied to a lot of members emails and said they will not make a chip for us d17s. Hondata is the way to go but if they dont make anything I say dyno tuned vafc or safc.

I have the venom 400 and it doesnt suck, dont belive a newby with only 16 posts, he doesnt know WTF he is talking about, anyways the venom 400 works good and definitly makes a difference, it has a switch and it definitly pulls harder when it is on. You can feel it kick in when you punch the gas and the LED comes on..... for the price it is definitly good value, gives more gains than buying an expensive exhaust or intake... but it probbaly works better having a combination of mods....
Yeah I know WTF im talking about dumbass if you read before you post stupid comments like that. Two of my friends who own 2 different shops can tell you these products Fu#k up your car so if you would like i will post my 10 dyno runs and they all show between 4000 and 5000 rpm my car has a fuel loss due to the mods I have done to the car. Also to your comment about me only having 16 posts well heres a 17th and its due to me RESEARCHING about products before I due a stupid post and if you have a problem with this then I will give you the # to my friends shops and you can ask them yourself and also they are ASE certified and have all worked in car dealerships at some point in their motorsports careers. So have a great day. LATER

I heard all Venom does is make your car think the gas pedal is pressed down farther than it is. So if you push it down like 25% of the way it thinks you're pressed it down 50% of the way so it FEELS like you're getting more power at less than WOT. But I think at WOT it still only puts out as much as before.
I think someone timed their quarter mile or 0-60 with it on and off and they said it only took off like .1 seconds or something.

^^ Not true. The nemon 400 only activates when under hard driving conditions such as racing. I think it activates somewhere around 35% throttle if I am not mistaken, allowing you to drive normally with it still turned on.
Now there is also a on/off switch that allows you to pass emissions or just save fuel.
These rumors about fuel getting cut off at 4000-5000 rpm's may be true considering the member did say that "they all show between 4000 and 5000 rpm my car has a fuel loss due to the mods I have done to the car ". Not only saying that it was the chips problem.
The vemon requires 2 splices. 1 consiting of the fuel map sensor and th other to the throttle. That way it knows when to activate. He is right it does throw more fuel into the engine, but like most people will say, it's almost impossible to get good gains without increasing the fuel flow.
My personal experience with the vemon 400 is nothing but good. Yes, when it is on, I lose gas alot quicker. But I mostly drive with it off. When I was at the track, I actually begun to catch "spin" when I hit third gear. I can tell a huge difference. But everything always has its ups and downs.

On a side note to scivic02.
I understand that you have/had the Jet chip considering that you said you sent it off to them. So what's with all the bashing on the vemon 400? I understand that you thought ur chip sucked and messed up your car, but this may not be true to the Venom 400. Although most likely they are around the same thing, and definately the same idea.
All I am saying is don't bash on what you think might be true. What may happen to your car, and what may happen to my car might be totally different things. I understand your hate for these chips if it messed up your car. But don't scare people away from buying them, I think that your car may be the only one that was "messed up" from a chip.

My post was not stupid, I was being honest.... This guy comes on here and start flaming me? you dont know me, since you live in palatine, you talk a lot of smack for being so close to where I live. And he calls me a ***? how old are you like 12? I'm shaking!! I don't care what you think, all that matters is that I have the venom and I am happy with it. get a life and dont come starting crap on here, I was not trying to start an argument but I was trying to post useful information unlike 95% of the posts on here. Many newby's come on here and act like they know what they're talking about, you guys know how it is all the stupid reposts, etc. All I said was what I thought of the venom and you jump down my back, get a f'n life jerk-off....
Anyways, the venom works great, it doesnt trick the gas pedal into thinking its pushed farther like many people think, it hooks up to the TPS and MAP like mentioned earlier. I still get 32-35 mpg with all moy mods and I leave the venom on all the time. I have yet to run it at the track, but when I had mg gtech, it did knock a little off the quarter mile..... so every little bit helps...

^^ What was useless. We ( me and IDQcivic) were both stating that people should ignore scivic02's posts because it seems that he is having some problems not jsut because of the chip. Plus his is a JET chip so how is he going to bash on the VENOM.
ANYWAYS. I have a christmas eve dinner to go to. So if you will excuse me. I am done with this post.

Yes they would work together. I would call VENOM to get the more precise info. but from what I know, they will work together.

I think that if venom and jet chip messed up everyones car, then I think they would stop selling them, but since they are out there, they must be good.
I have a VAFC II tuned and it made a pretty big difference. Even with the crappy KMS intake manifold...I don't have the Jet or Venom 400, but I'm pretty sure the VAFC II with The Jet or Venom would work really good together, because that's pretty much the only way to adjust the ignition timing on our cars...The VAFC II is for fuel/air mixture and the Jet and Venom 400 is for ignition...I plan on getting the Jet upgrade after I install my new intake manifold and have my VAFC tweaked...And to answer the ? about if they will work together...They will
