Cold air intake for AT?
maybe this is a dump question, sorry about that.
anyone know is there any cold air intake for AT? i saw many cold air intake from ebay that said for MT only, but according the pics those intakes are just the same setup as the air short ram intake. is there any plugs that MT require to plug in the cold aid intake? Does the cold air intake that relate to the MT? if it diddn't, should i put that on my AT ex? Thank you

First of all, searching would have yielded more answers than you can handle.
Now to answer your question.
I think the only CAI for ATs is the Injen CAI.
The difference between the MT and AT CAI's are the piping/brackets due to the size difference in transmissions. ATs have bigger transmissions than MT.
If you bought an eBay CAI that are for MT only, and if it is a 2-piece design, then you can use the upper portion as a SRI. The 2-piece designs are a close copy of the AEM CAI, which is only available for MT.
You can fit the MT CAI into your engine bay like I did, but don't expect the brackets to match up. You'll have to zip tie or something to hold it.

i have a injen on my AT, just get a SRI, they're cheaper, you got more brands to choose from and you wont notice a difference in the "gains".
hey likeaferio, when you ziptied your intake on, what did you tie it to?
i have this POS ebay SRI, and the crappy brackets are useless. so it's pretty much holding on by the adapter on the throttle body
. it's pretty firmly on there, and it can barely move, but i'd just be happier if i ziptied it to something...
thanks

If your asking about the upper piping of the intake, I bent the bracket so that it would fit on where it's supposed to go. What I ziptied was the lower piping of the CAI, since the bracket has no where to mount to.
