port and polish, bore throttle body, kms intake manifold...the list can go on.
You can try to bore it out to a 1.9 or a 2.0, add some new pistions and rods, and you should gain some good power.

What does that run as far as $ is concerned? Somewhere down the road I want to go turbo. Should I build up the engine first or go turbo then build?

build motor first before turbo, and do it all at once
TURBO KIT
-SF=3500 i think
-mine=to much
PISTONS
-550
RODS
-650
SLEEVED BLOCK
-800-1100
these are guesstimates, not including labor and other misc. parts that will more than 99% be required

gude throttle body, port and polish.
I would stay away from the KMS intake manifold.
I have not heard of anyone having any performance gains
with it installed. it actually robbed them of power.
Pulleys are also a waste of money. They really don't come
into play and are not noticable until after 90mph.

I agree. I've done some research and people are saying good things. I've heard you get like 2-3 WHP. That's cools with me. Another question, all my bolt ons are stealing power from the lows and putting it at the high end. What can I do to get power back in the low? I hate getting my @ss handed to me right off the line!

you can get 2-3 WHP witha throttle body spacer as well....a lot cheaper than pulleys.
I guess people say who say they can feel the 2-3 whp through the whole powerband can
probably also feel the VTEC kick in.
