VAFC II works!!!
Well, I finally got around to installing my VAFC II and Cam gear 2 days ago. The new VAFC works perfectly without the CEL coming on...I'll be dyno tuning them both within the next few weeks. I'll keep you guys posted...

I have AEM cold air, Hp Racing header w/ high flow cat, Dc Sports TCS Cat back, KMS Intake manifold, AEM Cam gear, and VAFC II....I don't have the VAFC II set yet because I'm just gonna wait to dyno the two together...I did however advance the Cam gear 2 degrees...It made a good difference in my mid range. I'm thinking about getting the DH bored throttle body and the DH cam regrind before i tune my car.
What octane are you running, any detonation issues with this setup? Can't wait to see what your dyno will be, it would be nice to know what our cars dyno at with only NA mods (albeit, way above and beyond I/H/E that you've done).

I have the vtec output engaging @ 5200RPM...It kicks real hard when set kinda high in the RPM range. Alot of people say that the KMS manifold dosen't do much for our cars, but that's the people that really don't know anything about an aftermarket intake manifold. You have to tune your fuel and air to get the most out of any aftermarket manifold so it won't be long before I will get #'s up. I think my favorite mod so far is the VAFC or cam gear. I was going to tune awhile back, but decided to wait on the VAFC II to come out because of the new features and the fix. I was also going to wait until I get the throttle body and cam, but I'll go ahead and tune my car first with what I have. If anyone has any questions about the new VAFC of IM, feel free to ask.

Oh, and let's try to keep this thread short without all the "useless" comments....I hate reading through a 40 page thread just to find out it's post ****** posting comments that isn't helping anyone.
so no problems huh... when you say it kicks hard what are we talkin about? does your neddle jump and your passanger say whow shyt because right now i want the most n/a power too... i was going to pick it up once someone posted some tech on it.

All the bugs seem to be taken care of...I haven't had the CEL come on since I installed it and it has been getting pretty cold down here.. Thread Starter

when you said w/high flow cat with the Hp header..did ya mean the the downpipe that came with it? the straight up hollow one? I have the ebay one on right now and it's setting my CEL on so i was thinking about gettin the V-AFC 2 to make it go off. I'm interested in the results also..sry to bring this thread back

I have the Hp header with the supplied down-pipe and hollow cat. Getting the VAFC 2 will not keep your CEL from coming on...You need the O2 simulator to correct your problem...Search, because there is all kinds of info about the o2 sim and the correct wiring diagram.

so i was guessing if the V-AFC 2 is wired right it would get rid of the CEL because it's fooling to computer to run rich or lean regardless of when Vtec kicks in. edit: when are ya going to dyno it? if the results are good i mite plan on buying one also...good luck
