Best Intake for a 03 EX

I just got my 03 coupe ex a week ago and I wanted to get
some peoples opinon on air intakes. I was looking at the
APC Reworks intake its suposed to have only 1% air flow
restriction. But suggestions on other intakes would be
greatly appreciated.

I gained atleast 50+ hp.

But for real, you won't gain much from intakes... just get something quality like Injen, AEM, or K&N FIPK II.

the K&N FIPK is actually pretty good, dont know why you lost 10hp with your ford but you can expect 4-5hp gains on the civic. but yah i wouldnt worry tooo much about intakes for our civic as you wont get much gain from them in the first place.

Angry_Angel is on a distinguished road
I had a Tenzo-R CAI installed on my ride. I haven't done any tests to see what sort of gain in hp I've gotten, but I can certainly tell the difference. But as others have said, installing a CAI won't turn your ride into a jet or anything.

You gained at least 50+ hp from an intake!?!??!! are you out of your f*ckin mind???? the most that you will ever get out of an intake would be 10 hp on an Ex. If you wanna gain "at least 50+ hp" than go with some internals, not with an Injen CAI

Get the K & N FIPK II

I had an AEM CAI and I switched to the K & N FIPK II.
It dropped 2/10th of my quarter mile time and it sounds
better.

Get The K & N FIPK II

To help answer your question:

For ease of installation of product dependability, I would suggest either AEM or INJEN.

AEM: http://www.tornactive.com/pd_aem_col...intake_for.cfm

INJEN: http://www.tornactive.com/pd_injen_r...ic_0102_mt.cfm

Both are good quality and have proved solid gains in HP. There are others available, but these seem to e the choice for the members here.

If you need any assistance, PM me or call us up!

my ebay "super intake" is arriving tomorrow, so I'll let you know how that works. It looks neat, and only cost me $75; so even if I don't gain anything, not much lost. Here's the linky: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2436435523

Just search on ebay for "01 civic super intake" and the only results are this and one other one.

YS used to have it, but he's selling it now. if you look around, make sure to search for "aero design," because that's the first time i've heard someone call it the "super" intake.

its called the super intake on ebay....there was a thread about it a while ago, forget what it was called. Pretty much only one guy has it, and he got it from a website for $50. He told everyone here that it was a good deal, so the website raised the price to $115. So nobody else bought it. I dunno; I've heard that intakes really don't increase your HP, so why not get a cheap one that looks good?

If you knew what was already out there, you would knw what you want. Its pretty much a matter of preference on brand, style, and CAI/Short ram.

Like civicvtec1ps said... DO A FUQN SEARCH. IBTL

I JUST did the FIPK today and i give it yeah that one. I love the sound, love the power (maybe it is in my head), but seems quicker through gears under power. plus, there is no metal tube that gets and stays hot. A+ theres my 2 cents.
