Whitest lights?

I am looking around for the whitest lights that I can for my car.
I was wondering if anyone know who might carry white bulbs (hopefully white-blue, not the yellow POS that ordinary cars have).
My parking lights are a sick yellow, and I plan to clear my headlights, so I want it all to be as white as possible (without buying expensive a$$ lights or overhauling to a HID set). Otherwise, it'll look mismatched and tacky.
I know auto stores sell lights, but I've been told to stay away from certain brands. Now I don't know which brands to trust - which brands will actually be "white".
Can anyone help? Thanks.

i think this is more tech stuff, but...

i've been happy with sylvania cool blues. no, they aren't very blue, but they are white and haven't blown up in the 10 months i've had them unlike most aftermarket bulbs out there.

HYPR DRV will become famous soon enough
Believe it or not, I had 100W Eurolite Xenon HyperWhites in my car for a year before one of them blew. Luckily, I had an extra set so I just switched the one and the other one is still going strong. I also have PIAAs, which are supposed to be really good, but I'm not sure if they'll last as long.

Whitest setup I've had with success (i.e., no breaking/blowing out)...

H4's = Luks Metal Whites from lightingresearch.com
Signals = PIAA Extreme Whites
194's = Hiper Hyper Whites
H11's = Luks Metal Whites from lightingresearch.com

How they look from the front/direct line of sight:

How look from up top at an angle:

FYI, all bulbs are stock wattage except PIAA's as they are about 2watts more than stock.

Wow!!! Those Luks Metal Whites H4s look nice!!! I have Silverstars right now, and I am happy with the light output, but they don't look as white as those. How long have you had them? And how long did shipping take from this company?

Also, NorrinRadd, OT from the lights, but I see you have the K&N FIPK II. How do you like the sound, and did you notice any difference in performance? (as much as you can from a SR). Also, what did you pay for yours?? Thanks!!!!

I've had them for just over a year now w/ no issues. Shipping took about 4 business days for me.

I love the sound, its not as loud as AEM or Injen, but it sounds nice nonetheless because its not overly loud like most intakes, only when you gun it. Basically, it sounds like what our engine could sound with lots of tuning (port, polish, decking, etc.) vs. too deep with most SRI's making sound like you have a V8 vs. a 4cyl. As far as performance, mid to high end gains definitely (not seat of your pants gains of course, but definite power increases on freeway passing and hills), but a slight decrease in low-end, though not as much as other SRI's. I got most of my low-end back after installing my Venom though. I paid $215 w/ shipping for my FIPK from some online truck parts store (can't remember which one though).

Funny this thread just started, because yesterday i just received my replacment bulbs! I ordered Xtreme whites from the company Mtech. They are Awsome. They are piaa rated but much less in price, and there is a unhured off 6 month warranty! I installed them last night and they are fantastic. The road is let up so much more. They have a tiny blueish tint to them. You can find them for sale on the web site: customauto.ca Have a look around they have great prices and good service. I hope this helps you out.

P.S They arent that expense either. $50

I've heard silverstars are just like stock. I have cool blues, which are 3800K over the stock 3200K (white light instead of yellowish). PIAA doesn't last more than a few months on average. Then again, alot of people here are running MTECs.

gearbox- you say that you have cool blues and prefer them over silverstars. But Sylvania makes BOTH and says that the silverstars are brighter than the cool blues... How's that?

I don't know how it's possible. The color temps are 3800K for cool blue and 4100K for silverstar. The silverstar should have a whiter light, but I've seen member pics comparing the silverstars to stock and I couldn't tell a difference. The cool blues are definately whiter over stock. I see the difference everytime I pass by another car and see their yellow beam. And I've had them for a year now with no probs. They've been dropped and baked while clearing the lights and still survived. I'm using those for the H4 and just kept the stock turn and parking light in. It looks good.

Really, hmmm I'm not sure why that is, since my Luks are 4200K and and your Cool Blues are supposed to 3800K. I know when I had my Silverstars, which were supposed to be 4000K they still looked like stock yellowish, but just a tad bit whiter. Of all the H4's I've tried Luks (4200K) and MTEC (4350K) are the whitest. I stuck with Luks over MTECs, since I seem to have bad luck with the MTECs as far as breakage, my Luks always last longer and are a little cheaper.

When you say "whitest", does that mean there's a slight blue tint to it? Or is it just white?

Just white in direct line of sight, but w/ a very unnoticeable slight blue at extreme angles (at least w/ my setup).

In your center pic in your sig, the one with your lights on (obviously!), I see a slight blue halo around both of your headlights, especially the passenger side one, probably due to the angle. This must be a result of the 4200K of the Luks vs the 4000K of the Silverstars, right? My Silverstars look very white, but I hardly see any bluish tint.
