Question How's the V2? (7th gen ex)

A few q's on the AEM V2 intake...
1) How does it perform/ sound?
2) How was installation/ (time and effort)
3) Ne Pics of the V2 installed?

Anything else would help... plus is it a quality intake?

Don't bother. Intakes on the newer civics are for noise only. The short ram intakes actually cause a loss in low end power. Not worth it. My AEM SRI is at home in a box.

well im gonna get a cold air... should i get the AEM CAI (V1) the AEM V2, or the Injen CAI? I really dont wanna get a Short ram... i really am not that concerned with the sound of the intake... rather performance... so basically what has the greatest HP gain? I know the V2 has about 5-6.

indeed.

and yes the AEM V2 for the 01-03 Civic are short rams.

and yes its like that on the RSX too.. and most likely on the 02+ Si too.

I like the FIPK, although its still just a filter on a stick.

if u can get it for a good price.. I'd take the FIPK.

I didnt notice any lost in low end.. compare to other intakes I've had.

I have seen so many intake posts in my day, I think most people agree with Injen or K&N FIPK. Ofcourse AEM is very popular, and most people look into AEM before anything else. Although, in the end I wouldnt imagine any of them would yield more than a 4 HP gain. Ofcourse that would help your 1/4 time you are going to see significant performance from bolt ons.
