people are gonna tell you different things like aem is better than injen and blah blah blah, because they have never owned the other. I believe that the only intake that adds much of anything is the k&n intake, not the typhoon. If you don't want to pay the price for that go with what you think looks best, because they are all pipes with a filter.

because noobs are dumb and don't know that there is a search button. Just give them one post and they will figure it out because some of us aholes like to point things out and lock threads faster than a drunk virgin has sex on her prom night. Some people actually don't mind being nice and helping others out like me.

I'd stick with stock... but if you must.
for an LX
AEM is cheapest in terms of brand, and actually R&Ded.
so I'd go with AEM.
or Volant, since their R&D (if any) was done on an LX.
the K&N FIPK is more for the EX, IMO.
for DX/LX, I recommend AEM's SRI. even though I dont like AEM. heh.
simply cuz they put some R&D into designing the length, bent, diameter of the intake tubing, looks like its ideal for the DX/LX's D17A1, less emphasis on high end power like the EX's D17A2
so if you must, go with AEM's SRI for DX/LX... only around $100 shipped.
