Rep Power: 0 Has anyone actually gotten the AEM V2
Okay so I know it has been beaten to death about what everyone thinks about the AEM V2 intake. We all know a majority of the people are really skeptical (at a minimum) about the product. But what I fail to hear is anything from people who have actually purchased the product. What we get is more of a which intake is better arguement.
With that said, I am really curious to see if anyone has actually tried the intake and what they really think. Forget what has been researched, but instead lets deal with actual results in the real world, not in the perfect world of Dyno land. As one of the most hotly contested products I would like to hear some real world experiences.

Rep Power: 0 AEM V2 Kix some serious ***!!!!
I changed my intake with my friends intake cuz he totaled his car, i had the Injen CAI and it was damn good, but now that i have the AEM V2, the Injen doesnt compare, the V2 sounds so much better, it gives alot more top end and low end power together more than midrange, and it makes my car sound like its got VTEC, and sounds similar to the RSX vtec when goin good. I think that the V2 is well worth its money, and if i was lookin for an intake definately the v2!! So hope you guys find out which you like better, i know Injen has some good ratings on it, and just for shorter words, the v2 kix the **** outta it!!!

Rep Power: 345 I posted a pic before.
I've posted a lot of crap.
it seems it'll never be enough. heh.
thats for the EX.
not sure if the LX/DX version is like that.. can some LX owners confirm it?

Rep Power: 360 Yea I have it, it took me about an hour to install. It acts like a SRI with the loss of low end for just a little bit, then it seems to really increase above 4000 rpms. It also has a nice sound to itm if you are intrested that doesnt scream unless you punch it and high rpms. The throttle response seems improved as well as it just seems like I drive faster with it on for some reason. A Cai would probaly be better so you dont lose the low end, but i dont know how it compares to the others, but i like mine.

Rep Power: 0 i had the v2 on my ex and now i have and injen cai. i like the injen better. there really is no difference between the v2 and the old school ones. aside from the price. but all aem prices are an a** rape. i guess they can do it though, they make a quality product.

Rep Power: 0 the AEM v2 is a joke...one of my boy just bought the v2 for his 01 ex...when i drove his car the other day it felt the same as mine (i have the regular AEM CAI). the only difference is just the way it sounds. if you listen very closely and you park his car and mine side by side and rev, you can probably tell the difference other than that it sounds just like any other intake.
remember.........you have to listen very closely and not blink or else you wont be able to tell them apart!

Rep Power: 315 Yeah, V2 on EX or LX/DX looks the same. I'm not an engineer but my brother is, sound waves do push the air. I dont know whats going on with the EX, but LX has noticeable gains. My brother's friend has an Injen short ram on an EX auto, and it does nothing.
One of these days I'll get you guys a picture of it installed in my LX... but it's just slightly longer than the standard SRIs but its got a huge pipe.
