Choosing LED bulbs to replace stock halogen type bulbs
there are dozens of LED lights, but on older cars, you need to be very careful - the LED might actually change the light spread in a negative way and might be similar but the light will spread and blind the drivers on the oncoming lane.
There are two things on the older halogen lights that direct the light:
LEDS... Not all of them are same position.
Let's use the original H1 type bulb:

this LED.... most likely to fail. too log, too wide - light will be all over the place.

this one, might be close? would need to test, though

- the reflector behind
- the lenses pattern - when you can't clearly see the inside on the headlight - the pattern is there to refract the light to the proper direction
