Northwest Meet Suday Sept 16 at 1:00 p.m.
and while in formation, we could roll our windows down, have the same radio station on and crank it real loud (heehee)
wouldn't that just be a hoot!
OR...we all could roll around with our stock wheels but no hub caps. YEAH BABY!
Terry
BTW-it was nice meetin' y'all!

Yeah, it was nice meeting everybody. I had a cool time and would definitely do it again. As you all may already know, I didn't get my VTEC Controller (compatability) so I have a ground controll kit on order and should have my rims/tires and hopefully exhaust next time we all meet up! It's so hard waiting!
yeah... heard bout that vtec controller thing... that sux man... maybe we can all go somewhere else sometime and just shop for parts... just cruise the local import part scene.
3rdCivic: hey that'd be a phat RICE meet.

emmagatorone,
I think you'll appreciate the lowered stance more than the VTEC controller. I've got the GC's on my car and would be happy to give you some tips so that they don't produce the common noises lots of people seem to experience.
I've designed some spring isolators that sit between the spring and the perches(upper and lower) for the front strut set-up. I hope that this will eliminate the spring binding that causes the "boing" or popping noises that people have mentioned.
The rear set-up seems to work best if you glue the urethane upper perch to the stock metal cap. Then ya just throw a bunch of silicone lubricant on the urethane perch so things slide real nice...NO NOISE!

Thanks for the advice man, hey did you see the job on the 2k1 Civic in Honda Tuning? They used a GC kit and cut the lower spring perch. If you don't have that issue, GO GET IT! It has lots of pics of the job they did, real interesting stuff! Thanks again man!
Yeah, I've got two brand new struts at home that I cut the spring perches off. This allows easier access for adjusting the collar so you can raise or lower the car with the wheel still on or even with it off. If you can imagine, that big, large diameter, stock perch would definitely be in the way if you wanted to crank the height up or down.
Basically, all you need is a fresh hacksaw blade and something to the strut(i.e. a vice), draw a line around the base of the perch(above the welds) and start cutting...PIECE OF CAKE.
Now all I'm waiting for is a custom drill bit that will allow me to bore into the strut tie-rod arm so that the tie rod can be mounted from the bottom instead of the top. This will reduce the angles of the tie rods on the steering rack (which I believe could cause premature eja...I mean wear).
