Same here... I see a bunch of 7th gen around. I saw 2 really nice one's racing at PIR I told them about the site and gave them my e-mail but nothing...
Yep I saw quite a few when I was up in Beaverton this past saturday so they are around just never join the site I guess. Yeah having some issues with my current Employer so I may be having to leave the state just to get my income going again, so may lose a OR member. But I will keep ya updated with any current people I find around here to add to the OR member list.

Humm I have no clue how many members are still in this site from Oregon but maybe we should try a meet again one of these days. I don't know much about places in Portland since I live down in Salem. But let me know who would be up for a meet. I know the WA meet is going Thursday but I am busy that day so or I would run up.
Since Trevor's civic is gone and Silver02ex I don't know if you have your car back or not. I am possibly forgetting some members but post where you are at
Yeah if we have a meet I may possibly even have my bud with his 99 SI show up from Beaverton

I don't get my car back for another year and probably won't be driving it next winter because of the weather. I'll probably wait til next spring before using it as an everday car.

Yeah Tualatin been through there numerous times. Yeah well see it as this atleast you don't have a DX so
But good to hear we have another member, the OR meets are not very busy since we don't have many members here but since I moved back here I have noticed not a lot of people mod cars here like they did in Arizona so
dunno.

dunno. Nick
About 25 miles or so. Its a bit wierd. I'm 13 miles south of downtown PDX, and about 25 miles east of Hillsboro. When I owned my WRX, I used to visit some people over by Glencoe High School. That was about 25 miles the back way (highway 219)...
If I took I5 to 217 to 26, it would be a longer, slower, and much more boring way

hehe, yeah I got *lucky* with an LX. Actually, I wasn't all that picky and the deal was really great. The car is in fantastic shape. I found an HX CVT at a local dealer with less (10k) mileage, but they wanted 2k more than the LX (24k) and it didn't have A/C... They listed it for 14k, then the special price of 13, and then 12... doubt they would have dropped it much more. CVT with VTEC-E would have been nice for commuting. Power windows werent a big deal, and the better gas mileage wouldn't hurt, but oh well... I won't complain...
31mpg is decent enough.
As for modding the car, dont know what to tell you. I'm from TX originally and there are some VERY fast cars of all kinds there. Some pretty fast cars up here, certain WRXs for example. For me, I'm keeping the Civic til '09 (bought the 7yr warranty on it) as a daily driver. I'm hoping that I'll find a great paying job after I'm done with school... Then, I can pick up another C5. Traffic here is pretty bad, and I wanted an auto daily driver so I can get a 6spd Vette... I sold the Vette to go finish school, seems only logical that I should get a Vette after finishing school I've had an interesting string of cars in the past few years...
99 Vette (sold due to decision to go finish school)
00 S2000 (way too much attention, couldn't focus when I was at school and worried about the car getting messed with)
02 WRX wagon (lots of storage room, but touchy 5 speed and so-so gas mileage made commuting a nightmare -- plus, I wasnt going to mod it)
01 Civic LX Auto (wanted something cheap, economical, fun to drive, efficient, and reliable)
So, why did you move from AZ to here, and how do you compare the 2 places (obviously it rains more here)? I've only been through the airport in PHX, but it seems like a neat city...

Now that is quite a string of cars. Yeah my car I am shooting for is a Z06 but that is going to take some time since my job field in Information Technology is tragic at the moment. Well speaking of Arizona I am down here for a temp stay for a wedding and it looks about like Oregon with all the rain right now but its cool I would rather have rain then no rain. The heat in Phoenix drove me crazy and hated how it destroyed my last paint job on my 88 civic and the 110 temps for mths on end in the summer drove me crazy too. Plus the high insurance because of the #1 theft in the nation down there, the poor wages in Arizona and over all my buds I had down there pretty much left. Plus I would rather live in CA over AZ any day so after I get some $$ saved up from living with my parents in OR I plan on jumping down to Vegas or CA. But personally being down here right now it just makes me sick I left here for a reason and I am back for just a little while. But yeah some people like Arizona and more power to them.
Yeah I have stopped modding my car for worry reasons, and also to save up for moving.
Its a good site I have learned tons from it

Hey Nick,
IT will probably be my field as well. I'm wrapping up the last of my General Management classes this term, and then next term is 12 hours of IS classes, followed by the final IS class at the end of the summer. Then, I'll be through with my undergrad and hopefully school in general. Can't say I'm all that excited about stuff like grad school. I'd rather get into the workforce ASAP... Keeping my options open too. I'm originally from Austin Texas and if I can't find a decent job here, Austin is next on my list
Z06 -- cool I had the "regular" coupe with the targa top... Now, I've been thinking that I'd like either another C5 and am pretty open to whats out there. All out performance doesn't matter to me and even the "regular" C5 is faster than about 90% of the cars you run across... maybe more. The regular C5 has some nicer "options" that are pretty cool, while the Z06 is about max performance. I actually prefer the sport seats (which you can't get in the Z06) over the base seats... But they add weight, so the Z06 doesn't get them. I also like the HUD, but it adds weight and requires a different windshield, so the Z06 gets a thinner non HUD compatible windshield...
Oh well, I'll find something... C5s are getting pretty inexpensive now... I mean you can get a really nice one for about what a brand new 350Z touring costs... sure the C5 is more common, but it also outperforms the Z... If you don't mind a 97, they are dropping down into the mid-upper 20s... you do risk NO warranty at that point, but if its not your only car, I guess its not a big deal...
One thing about most Corvette owners is that they can't appreciate other cars... its really a shame... I lost a lot of friends when I sold the Vette...
Anyhow, I've wandered quite off topic, but oh well.. keeps things fun!
Mike

Good old medford I was through there less then a month ago, yeah I will be up through there again in 2 weeks when I return to Oregon. Yeah heard today on the local radio that Oregon is #1 for the highest unemployment rate and I don't have a stable employer . Oh well the place is awesome still and the jobs have been never that abundant even when I was growing up here
But yeah anyone who is up for a meet or get together let me know

Well I'm one of many people without a job. Then again, I'm finish up college and dont' have time for a job. This is one of the reason I may have to move after graduating from college this spring/summer.
I'm in the exact same boat as you... Summer 03 grad from PSU...
