I'm wondering if any of you might now for sure if having white turn signals is illegal in Washington state. I'm starting to get kinda paranoid driving my car because they aren't amber and I have cleared headlights. Thanks

Turn signals can either be white or yellow [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG] If you are really paranoid just get amber turn signals.

hehe actually white turn signals are illegal. they can be any shade of yellow or orange or in between, but thats it. for the front anyway.

I have hyperwhite on the front and have for awhile now and my other civic it has had them for like 4 yrs atleast.

But I don't think you would have a problem with white

Actually if you look in the drivers guide at the DMV it says that white or amber are OK for turn signals.

Any vehicle may be equipped and when required under RCW 46.37.070(2) shall be equipped with electric turn signals which shall indicate an intention to turn by flashing lights showing to the front and rear of a vehicle or on a combination of vehicles on the side of the vehicle or combination toward which the turn is to be made. The lamps showing to the front shall be mounted on the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable and, when signaling, shall emit amber light: PROVIDED, That on any vehicle manufactured prior to January 1, 1969, the lamps showing to the front may emit white or amber light, or any shade of light between white and amber. The lamp showing to the rear shall be mounted on the same level and as widely spaced laterally as practicable, and, when signaling, shall emit a red or amber light, or any shade of color between red and amber. Turn signal lamps shall be visible from a distance of not less than five hundred feet to the front and rear in normal sunlight. Turn signal lamps may, but need not be, incorporated in other lamps on the vehicle.

I got tickets for having clear front turn signals in my old 93 hatch...

I also got tickets for my tailights being too dark, not reflective enough...

Also got tickets for exhaust, and license plate in my window....

Shane is right. I got a ticket for having white lights on my old Sentra prior to buying the Civic. That cost me $75, but I got it reduced to $37.

Well, obviously it depends on the mood of the officer. I just went and got amber bulbs so I don't have to worry. I think it looks kinda tight with amber bulbs so it's all good.
