Limo tint is probably too dark. You might be able to get away with dark, but most people get away with medium.

And basically, if a cop can't see through them at night, then you're gonna attract them.

i have limo in the back , and the very light tint on the front and it serves its perpuse. if you go to dark and the cops cant see you then they will mess with you. also its hard to smile at girls if they cant see you

My boyfriend had limo tint on his galant and the cops didnt bother him until he put an sdstreetracing.com sticker on his car. Then he took it off. Even if u put medium on they'll mess with u if they got the chance. My uncle drives a freaking Echo and he had light-medium tint on his front windows and they gave him a ticket. It all comes down to the cop himself, some are aight and some are s@#$ heads.

It all depends on where you live in CA-all day. If you live in a city where the police don't
have anything better to do than harass people with nice cars, then you you shouldn't
have anything darker than 20% put on your ride, and even that can be pushing it sometimes.

Just to let you know, 35% tint in CA is legal.

That's true. Unless you have blue eyes and a note from the doctor.

Hi all,

I work for right next to city hall and the Police dept. and I was talking with one of the head Sgt.'s and he said there is no real law against tint as far as how dark it can/can't be. the reason why they don't allow it on the front windows is in case of an accident the tint wouldn't allow the safety glass to completely shatter and that could cause more complications.

oh,well, either way I'll still gatting 35% all around.

just throuwing that out there

Dude. It's legal. It has been since 1999. Mine are at 35% ... check out my ride in Member's rides.

I'm trying to look up the vehicle code to post, but I'm still looking. Anyway, it's okay. Just don't go too dark. Like someone said earlier ... if they can't see you ... it's too dark.

i can't find it on that vehicle code page either...if you find it you could probably print it out and bust that thing out in some cop's face that pulls you over for tints if you got 35's...
