Like the thread says looking for suspension that is going to be good on the street and a track should i find myself at one. Not really trying to break the bank with it

Koni yellows, ground control sleeves with custom rates, ITR sway bar with ASR subframe brace, full poly bushings. If koni/gc is out of your budget then progress csII.

Koni and GC combo can be hand for about $700 shipped if you know where to look.

Progress CS2 can be had for around or under $550 shipped if you know where to look.

Search some forum vendors and google a lot to find the right prices.

You are looking at around 500 bucks for good susupension...most modifications for our cars break the bank..

A set of Tokico Illumina's with either Eibach sportline or H&R springs is a good set up. I have had both on civic's in the past.

This set up would cost you about $700 with the current pricing of parts.

Nice part is the Illumina's give you a 5 way adjustable shock so you can drive around in some comfort on the street then click them to 5 for the track and rattle your fillings out.

You can get the Koni Yellow Sports and Ground-Controls for $700... Much better, rebound adjustable shocks and height adjustable coilovers and can get custom spring rates. Much better than Illumina's and lowering springs for the same price...

Don't be fooled by "5-way, 15-way, 32-way adjustable" shocks/coilovers. It's a marketing gimmick to get people to think they have superior shocks because they have a larger range of adjustment. Technically my Koni's are 5, 15, 32... really infinitely adjustable.. This is why Koni does not label how many "adjustment" marks there are with some arbitrary number. How do you know there is really any difference between adjustmet 20 and 21? Or even 20 and 32? That's IF, there really is any difference, which in most cases there isn't and peoples butt dyno's lie to them.

Well 700 aint breaking the bank by any means. Ive just seen stuff upto 2+k. That was to much to justify

actually, if the civic's version of the illumina's are similar design to the miata's, they are supposed to have compression/rebound adjustment on the ****, so they should work good. (might i add, eibach springs with illumina's setting 5 might be overkill, you might be overdamping the springs and probably getting jacking down effects from that).

Now, if you know about compression/rebound, it's relation to the spring rates, what the adjustments actually do and finally know how to test and adjust the infinitely adjustments you can get, then buy the koni's.

If you don't know how the compression/rebound and what the different adjusters are supposed to do, well, get the illumina's - they are good enough on my miata. If you don't know at all what the adjustments actually are supposed to do, then just get blues.
