speedometer, hand brake light/oil light problem

hey i have a 94 civic cx , hatch . 370 K,s
i have a problem , when i drive i notice that my speedometer is acting like a voltmeter it wont give me my exact speed , its always moving around the actual speed, i noticed it started to do this when my hand brake light turned on by its self and it was very dimm like if i pulled the hand brake the light would turn on really bright , my oil light does that too, its not on to clear, its very dim a sumthimes fluxuates in brightness with my handbrake light.... this happend for the first time 2 days ago and well , my check engine light also justed turned on ... ???????? i got brake fluid , oil , what else can be the problem??? the alternator isnt strong enough, theres a short?? thats fuking with my cluster ?? plz help im scared to take it out on the road incase it would let go on mee, but i would tell you mechanicly the car has no reason for the check engine light to come on its a-1, plz help

yeah sounds like the gauges arent getting enough power either the charging system (alternator) has a problem, the cables somewhere are corroded, or the battery clamps are dirty or not tight.
