D16Z6 operating temperature

Hey Folks.

It's a D16Z6 engine on a 93 Civic Coupe. Completely stock with about 85.000 miles on it. I haven't had the car for long so I'm not really used to it. I have a Hondash scanner which shows coolant temperature ranging from 90ºC to 100ºC (194ºF to 212ºF). At 100ºC the fan kicks in and brings it down to 90ºC again only to climb back up slowly. The temp gauge on the dash is a little bit below half. This is all while city driving with the car warmed up. Not being hard on the gas or anything. Just cruising.

Is this normal operating temprerature or is it running too hot?

Thanks.
