93 Civic LX codes 41 and 43

My 93 Civic LX is having some problems. In the morning I can usually drive it without issue no CEL, but during the daytime the CEL comes on after 5 to 10 minutes and throws codes 41 and 43. When the light comes on, the engine starts running a little rough, low idle and rough idle. a few weeks ago it had a really bad idle that was fixed by cleaning the throttle body and a new pcv. I have replaced the o2 with NTK sensors but still having the issue. Cleaned out the connectors when i saw a little oil in there from an oil leak I had a year ago. I have removed the backup fuse to clear the codes as well. Gas mileage is not good, and the engine bay smells of exhaust and the leak looks like it comes from the side the power steering pump is on and not the exhaust. In the past I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, distributor, plugs and wires, and have aftermarket header and exhaust pipes. It seems to running rich and a slight miss. any ideas of what I can do to fix this?

This read may help: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...-95-a-2910014/

one poster in that thread said that his timing belt jumped a couple teeth which caused CEL code 43. Check mechanical (cam/crank) timing.

Another poster suggested to swap out the ECU with a known working one.
