Is this EJ2 still worth ANYTHING?
Is this EJ2 still worth ANYTHING?
Hi,
My EJ2 was involved in an accident several weeks ago, other driver drove in sideways. This car has 172k miles, alot of rust, but technically everything still works. Now apparently this generation of Civics is quite popular (personally I loved it aswell), and I really would hate to see this buddy scrapped. But at the same time I have a new car and only limited space...which I really need to use. This car stands in Germany, if that is important.
So my question is: What are the chances to find a buyer? I can only imagine a real hardcore EJ lover who would be willing to repair this.
Or should I just scrap it?

Re: Is this EJ2 still worth ANYTHING?
Are you a German citizen/permanent resident or U.S. military? I ask because I couldn't tell you the value in Duetsche marks. In U.S dollars you could probably expect to make around $400-$500 whether sold as is or parted out.
Not sure what the scrap yards would give you for it over there. My guess is even though it's a dime-a-dozen 5th gen Civic in the U.S, it may be harder to find in Germany and have more value.

Honda is competing with Audi, BMW, Mercedes and VW in Germany so, maybe their value doesn't hold up as well. You could try listing it for parts and see what happens.
