Exclamation 94 Civic ex vtec HELP

I just bought the car two days ago. I have replaced the water pump, break pads, spark plugs, oil, filters, spark plug cables, radiator, distributor, tires. When I drive the car it drives great until I turn the a/c on. As soon as I turn the a/c on then it starts to do small jerks like misfiring. I am going to check the catalyst and see if is that but other than that I have no clue what else it could be. Anything else that it might be? Thanks in advance

Well, first you need to see what codes it has and proceed accordingly.

Any air conditioner system places a large load on the engine, you can really feel the car slow down and speed up whenever the compressor cycles on and off, especially when you have a small engine to begin with.

I did the diagnostic they told me it was the distributor. I changed that and the problem is still there

Re: 94 Civic ex vtec HELP

How do you know 'your mechanic' correctly diagnosed the problem?

Cheap aftermarket reman distributors are a crapshoot.

I keep hearing horror stories from other professionals of needing to try several before finding a good one.
