99 Civic ac problems

OK guys so one night last week i was driving the civic like normal with the heater on. I parked it left came back an hour or so later turned it on the heater controls where on but no air whatso ever was coming out i left it on and continued to drive home while on the freeway doing about 65 it suddenly came on but i slowed down and it turned off? Can anyone help the heat nor the cold turns on unless im going fast plz help its cold out here

While the fan is not working: Reach under the dash and smack the bottom of the fan motor with your hand.

If it starts to run when you smack it, the motor is bad.
