Possible blown head gasket.

Ok so this is my girlfriends profile and her car. she drove it home(50miles with max ac) one day and when she pulls into the drive way i notice stem coming from under the hood. pop the hood and its steaming pretty well. the car was pretty hot but not in the red from the glance of mine. the steam appered to be only coolant and was coming from under the distributor. the coolant line there looks ok. the guy she bought it from said he rebulit the engine. the head and intake look new. anyone have any ideas?

Re: Possible blown head gasket.

quick way to see, is do a compression check on that cylinder closest to the distributor. if you don't have one, most do it yourselfers have a tester. Just ask around.

Check your oil to see if it looks milky.. Also pull a plug and see if there is oil in the plug.. What motor?
