My Civic keep bogging down and RPMs are dropping
I have a 93 honda civic DX sedanwith a d15b2 motor. When i drive it will drive normal for a while. Then randomly the Rpms drop and it starts to bog down. If i let go of the gas and hit the gas again it will start to take off but then bogg down again. If i keep playing with the gas i can get to pick up some speed. But sometimes when i play with the gas it would miss fire. I changed the fuel filter Today. It has a high flow cat. And the distrubtor was changed like 4 months ago but the car was sitting for those 4 months. But i would start it daily. It also has new spark plug wires and spark plugs. And no check engine light comes on. Not even when it miss fires.
p.s. It has only miss fires if i press the gas too much and has only done it 2 times in the past week.
Also it is not the fuel filter just changed it today

Re: My Civic keep bogging down and RPMs are dropping
okay so i been doing everything i can to figure this out but still haven't. I check every hose for a vacuum leak. I strayed carbon cleaner on them to see if the idle will rise. But nothing.
Re: My Civic keep bogging down and RPMs are dropping
I'm getting similar symptoms in my 87 civic 1.5, and haven't gotten any replies to my post on it.
I am going to take a wild guess on mine that it is a bad O2 sensor, and since these are only $21.05 including shipping for the OEM Denso on line, I am going to give it a try. I'll let you know if it has any effect.
I've already tried virtually everthing else I thought was likely.
If this isn't it, it may be one of the numerous vacuum valves I have, and I hope not since these are no longer available.

Re: My Civic keep bogging down and RPMs are dropping
You just need to get your idle adjusted my car did the same thing when i picked it up from getting the motor built and i took it back and he just adjusted the idle and it never did it again.

Dont read my last post. That last post was for if your car is sitting still and revving up and down everytime ur at idle. Usually between like normal idle speed and 1500 rpm
