New to Civic, Sensor Leaking oil?

New to Civic, Sensor Leaking oil?

I have bought A 1994 Civic ex coupe 1.6 VTEC D16z6 and the guy told me that there was a sensor leaking and it was not a big deal all he said that he needed gasket to cover it or something like that but he would prefer buy a new one that would be better can someone tell me what exactly it is, I am new to this and i would really appreciate it,

Engine oil leak, or ATF? That looks like an awful lot of mess, and it doesn't really look like ATF.

If it is engine oil, then you should look a bit higher up than that. See if the distributor area is where the leak starts, or the VTEC valve.



Clean it all off and start over.






I think #6 is the solenoid in your pic.
#7 gasket comes with #6, or can be bought separately.

You really should start at the beginning on their catalog and pick out your actual car. I just guessed.
