Radiator Overflow Not Returning

Radiator Overflow Not Returning
'90 Civic was loosing about 8OZ of coolant every 100 miles.
Was not going into overflow. No leaks. Just disappeared.
No overheating issues.
Replaced HG. Water Pump and Timing belt.
First 100 miles. Lost coolant again. Not into reservoir.
OK, Maybe air in the system. Topped off radiator.
Second 100 miles, the exact amount lost from radiator, went to reservoir.
And didn't return. Any ideas? Thanks kevin
