Question Muffler replacement for a 93 Civic EX 1.6 L

Hey there! I am new to the site so greetings to everyone here. I have a pretty quick question but I will give you a little background. I have no mechanic experience but I can change my spark plugs, air filter, oil, etc. I know basic car maintenance.
How realistic would it be for me to replace my muffler/exhaust from the catalytic converter back - on my own? I could rent necessary tools from a local hardware store I think.
I am so sick of auto repair places making 100% profit on the parts when I am paying for the labor.

And, if it isn't a feasible option for me to do it on my own, any tips for somehow getting my local shop to install parts that I buy?

Thanks!

KR

if you can tie your own shoes , you can do it. I got a catback system off ebay for 100$. A new exhaust at MIdas will cost you 3 times that. They send you the gaskets and bolts . I did it in 20 minutes. You need ramps to get the car off the ground and 14 mm wrench. The only mildly challenging part is getting the rubber hangers on.

This may be a stupid question, but do I need four ramps or just two for the back wheels?

And would this part work for the replacement?

I had replied with a link to a possible new muffler kit I was thinking of buying and when I posted it a message popped up saying it needed to be approved before it would be posted. And now it has just disappeared. How long does it take to get those posted?

Also, this may seem like a silly question but do I need just two ramps for the back? Or do I need four to lift the whole car?

Thanks!
