1995 Civic DX VSS or EGR
Hi everyone, I'm the new owner of a 1995 Honda Civic Hatchback Automatic.
And as you might have been in my place a new car means a bunch of new problems to fix (for cheap).
This problem is related to the odometer malfunction, there is a few possibilities:
VSS, EGR, Oxygen Sensor or a blown fuse.
After running the car a few meters the odometer does not work and the engine light comes on. But then, after 10-15 miles it moves erratically and then seems to work normal but the engine light still on, turn off the motor and I start it again and the problem seems to have gone. This happens everytime I start the car after awhile that have been sitting off.
I have noticed too that the car makes the worse mpg's, like 21 miles per gallon.
VSS is my best guess till I read something about EGR. Does anybody have had this problem?
please cause I kind of
btw, sorry about my English.
