|Which Oxygen Sensor Wire Is Which 95 Civic Ex
I have gotten a generic oxy sensor for my EX and it has no plug with it. Which wires are the heater and which are the sensor wires of the 4? I looked all through the manual and it it shows it someplace then I couldn't find it.
. Of course the sheet with the sensor gives several possibilities and none of them match the wire colors on my Ex.

On the car harness plug:
orn/blk (neg) and yel/blk (pos) are for the heater
wht is O2 input to the PCM
grn/wht is sensor ground, shared with several other sensors (TPS, ECT, IAT)
Chop the connector off of the original O2 sensor and use that to connect instead of hacking up the cars wire harness.
You will need it later when you finally realize that the car does not like the universal Bosch O2 sensor and that is why it keeps setting codes.
"Hear me now, believe me later."

FWIW the sensor is made by Borge Warner and I guess I;ll see if it will work any better. I have had so much luck and fantastic prices shopping for sensors ect on Ebay ect that I figured it was worth the shot for $23 in that if it doesn't do the deed I can just pull it and save it for the next car
Boy, I put in about an hour and a half digging through the online manual to try to pin that simple thing out
. Thanks for the info. I already did a brake job and changed out 2 sets of snows this week and really don't want any more investigative headaches than I already have. If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Most of the time when I get them, it is the heater circuit resistance that is wrong.
If the car doesn't like it, use Denso.
Actually, just read the name stamped into your original sensor (assuming it is really original), use the same thing. Probably Denso.
