B16 problem

Hey Guys (and girls?), i am new and i am having an issue. yesterday i redlined it in 1st gear (on accident) and then it started to run rough above 4500 RPM, and today it started fine, still had the issue of running rough above 4000-4500 Rpm. it is getting fuel, unsure about spark. any ideas. is it just the plugs?

Re: B16 problem

when you mean rough, do you mean shakes violently? 4500ish is right about where VTEC kicks in. VTEC runs off oil pressure, and RPM and such. So, If your oil is low, VTEC will act up. are there any check engine lights? if so, get them scanned...if oil is good, and there are no check engine lights. Then you can try cleaning your VTEC solenoid.

Don't drive it until you do man. skipped time can do some serious damage. Check your dizzy too...take the cap off and make sure that gyro (forget the actual name) is there.
