1994 Civic LX - Torque converter...I think
I am not a transmission person and only know the basics on how the transmission works, especially on an automatic, but I can not determine what is causing my problem and I am thinking it's the torque converter.
While the car is under any kind of load and the throttle is engaged, I have no problems. Also, if I am braking, there is no problem. When I let off the gas pedal in any way, the car shakes and makes a loud, choppy noise. Closest I can compare it to is the sound of a tire with loose lug nuts and the tire about to come off.
I have driven this car daily for over two years and this problem started literally out of nowhere. I am unsure if the TC can be drained on this car or not. The car drives great. It doesn't pulse when accelerating and shifts smoothly.....any help would be greatly appreciated!!! I am trying to not spend a more than this car is worth in repairs.......
