I recently purchased a 1991 honda civic dx for a rather low price of $300. It has typical problems like honda rust and a check engine light ( likes to sputter out sometimes) the ecu led blinks once pauses and then blinks 16 times and repeats.

I have recently been offered a trade for trade offer on a 89 honda civic that wont start. i know it sounds like a horrible deal, but hes put a lot of money into his car but cant figure out how to make it run. he has tested his injectors he says they are at .3 ohms is that normal my dsm is at 3. he also says they aren't spraying fuel at rail.

i plan to disconnect the fuel line at the fuel filter and test the electrical connection for 12v at fuel pump. how do i do this?


I was planning to go down and try to make it run and if i get it running il trade him car for car... i know it sounds like a bad plan. idk im just posing the idea to see what other people think. is it worth the trip? i hate automatics and mine is auto.
