can't get air to blow out of vent to defrost window
can't get air to blow out of vent to defrost window
I have a 1988 Civic and the Defroster seems to work/blow but I can't get it to blow out of the upper vents upon the windshield. Can anyone instruct me on how to fix this because when it rains the view is pretty cloudy even after wiping it with a towel along the way and I live in Oregon. Please provide instruction on how to fix.

Youll want a service manual first off. MUST have one if you wanna do work in the future.
The issue is most likely the vent/air door. Unsure of the name for it. Its the door which SHOULD switch positions based on the area you have picked to blow air out of. In your case its either stuck and cant move to direct air to the windshield, or its shot and needs switching.
