99 Civic EX won't start. Just replaced heater hoses.

Here's the deal. I just replaced 7 heater hoses and now my car won't start. When I put the keys in the ignition and try to start, all I hear is the sound you get when the engine just won't turn over. There's a battery light that stays on but all the other electrical functions work (I think, at least the inside lights and the head/tail lights). The battery is I think about 2 years old. But before I replaced the hoses, the battery seemed to work fine. Also, I did clean my engine, but I the distributor and other important parts. Help! Thanks!

Does it click? Trying boosting the car. Check the connections on the battery.

sounds like you knocked a grounding wire loose when changing those hoses. Check thermostat housing to chassis specifically. I am not sure all years have one there but yours might. Check a manual for all the grounds.

Check grounds, check battery..try to jump start it..How long did you have the hood open for? you have a light on under your hood that stayed on the whole time? When you say you cleaned it, did you get anything wet your not supposed to?

Retrace your steps the best you can.
I have cut open moved, replaced hoses a bunch and its more than likely you just knocked a grounding or line around. As other guys said start looking around. Might take some time and effort, even moving hosing out again to locate, but cheaper than a mechanic doing it for ya.
