Fuel Tank Leaks
Fuel Tank Leaks
I have a fuel leak from my fuel tank along the middle seam. I am hoping to seal it with some JB Weld to buy me some time, and save some $. However, I know that is only a temporary fix, even if it does hold, to a major problem.
My question is: I have found a replacement tank for $80, and it doesn't come with any seals. Should I replace the 'fuel tank lock seal', along with any others when I swap the old one out for the new one? I have an 1989, and I imagine the seals should be replaced no matter what. Is this the only seal I should replace on the tank? My Haynes manual isn't particularly descriptive. And I know you great people here would love to help, if you can. Please let me know, thanks!
