overheating n high to low idle

I have a 95 civic lx sedan automatic. I replace reg SOHC 1.5 engine wit an SOHC engine wit a 1.6 head on a 1.5 block. My first question is " would my ecu still work properly with this swap?"

Other than that question I've bin getting two main problem after these swap. 1st prob is that my car idles at 1 1/2 - 2 rpm up an down continuously. I changed my sensors ( TPS, MAP) n I cleaned out n reused my IAC. But the prob still occurs. Even if I adjust the gas peddle cable it still does nothing. The only tym It won't idle up and down is if I mash all the way on the breaks. Can any1 giv me any feedback?
My next problem is that when I took my car for a drive it starts overheating quickly as I accelerate. n my check engine lights is always on and my temp gauge keeps jumping up and down (as I mash gas it would go up n decrease wen I don't or come to a stop) I checked my radiator but there wasn't any
crack. But my resovor bottle is always full n basically boiling as if my engine is pushing back into the bottle. I see no leaks on any of my hoses but I sometimes would hear like a faint whistle ( like there's a leak) sometime. can any1 help by givin me some feedback on how I can resolve my issues, Ill greatly appreciate all the help n advice I Can get

Re: overheating n high to low idle

If you search for overheating, there are numerous threads on this topic. Did you replace the head gasket or make sure your contact areas on the head were flat and clean? What codes is the car giving you? It's possible you could have a vacuum leak somewhere.
