94 cx 1.5l major coolant issues.
Hello Everyone!
My Honda is leaking coolant. well more like blowing it out the reservoir cap. any Idea how it could build the kind of pressure to "pop" the cap off the reserve tank. I already replaced the thermostat, oh and the tube from the bottom of the radiator to the thermostat is cool.
Any Ideas?

Check for exhaust gases in the coolant. You can buy a kit for about $30 at the autoparts store or the local mechanic can check it to confirm. Hate to tell ya but, I think your headgasket is bad.

Good Guess on the Head gasket, I JUST REPLACED IT ... but I looked at where the head meets block and I saw coolant boiling, but I only saw it boiling right next to the thermostat housing and right under the coolant hoses connected to the head, so maybe some bad hoses???Maybe a screw loose? I'll take another look!

This doesnt sound good... your going to have to take it all apart again and if you havent gotten the head checked like lazlong suggested, make sure you do it. If you didnt torque the head properly you have have warped it

Fixed!
There are two steps in the tightening sequence, 22Ft pounds then 49 ft. pounds. I had only tightened it to the first step. I'm lucky the engine isn't fried. I just opened the valve cover, torqued the bolts to 49 and BAM no more leaks! no mixed oil with coolant NOTHING. But I've put on only 100 miles or so, so we'll see.
Thanks Guys!
