Need Help With 1993 Civic Auto Shifter Knob
Need Help With 1993 Civic Auto Shifter ****
While installing a new shift console on my Civic (old one was melted in several spots by a smoker who clearly couldn't find the ashtray) I ran into a bit of a problem with the automatic shift ****. Easy enough to remove with two phillips head screws, one on each side.
Problem was when I pulled the **** off the button on the side fell out. It is essentially a steel cylinder that fits inside up against a spring, so no biggie.
But in the process a small angled metal piece fell out. It was lubricated with grease and while I think I put it back in the right spot on the button cylinder I would like to be sure. The button operates fine but I'd still like to know for sure that I did it right.
Any way that somebody can remove theirs & check it for me, maybe with a pic? It would really help me out. This car is slowly being brought back to life with weekly visits to Pick-a-Part & I'm almost done. Just don't want to muck things up.
Thanks for the help.
