92 Civic auto trans fluid leaking
92 Civic auto trans fluid leaking
red fluid...seems to be dripping from a hose that is clamped to a line...passenger side near bottom of radiator runs to top of engine down left of the battery....is it really transmission fluid? Don't see any other drips...could it just be a hose or a clamp?
pics 4 and 5 are looking down into engine compartment...line on the left is the one the leaky hose is attatched to below...it comes up and goes into the nut right there in the middle of pic 5.
Its a pretty prodigious leak and still haven;t figured out how to check the tranny fluid level!
hope somebody can help
tks

Re: 92 Civic auto trans fluid leaking
I cant't view the pics from my phone very well, but tranny fluid is usually red to differentiate it from other fluids. Some AT fluids are actually clear when the car leaves the factory. If the fluid is coming from a smaller lower radiator hose, chances are it's the hose that is helping keep the transmission cool.
