Fuel Injector/Fuel Rail Questions

1990 CRX SI. Just installed new o-rings on my injectors, they were tight going into the fuel rail, so tight, that they ripped (2 out of 4). What can I do to lubricate them to get them into the rail without ripping.

Second. My honda CRX repair manual shows fuel rail nuts torqued to 108#. I sheared my bolts at just over 20#, is that a misprint?

Thanks

Re: Fuel Injector/Fuel Rail Questions

I always use WD-40 when putting in new gaskets. Are you sure it doesn't say "inch-pounds" not "foot-pounds"? 108 in-lbs= 9 ft-lbs. 9 ft-lbs sounds about right.
