Seatbelt Light Will Not Turn Off at All!
Seatbelt Light Will Not Turn Off at All!
Please help! I have a wonderful Honda Civic DX 1990. It has an automatic transmission. I confess to being a non mechanic, am asking for your patience and specificity.
Please tell me how to get the seatbelt warning light to work properly.
Would a fuse be the problem? Where do I locate the fusebox and how do I check the fuses? What does each fuse do and how do I check the fuses and replace them if necessary?
Thank you.

There's a switch in the buckle (the part attached to the floor) that turns that light out when buckle the belt (the latch on the belt closes the circuit). #'s 1 and 5: http://www.bkhondaparts.com/billkay/...itch=&hidIrno=
Maybe try taking your buckles apart and cleaning the contacts (alcohol should be fine) or replacing them. Also look for loose connections and broken wires.

Ag Lise, before we know it, we have riots and 'mass action' to change the system again. Will these laws also apply to the Taxi industry? Solve the issues with the taxis and 80% of our roads will return to normal again. The system is good but pointless (or shall I say points less) as long as we are open to bribes and corruption in SA
