The factory harness goes underneath the carpet and the sensor wires pass through a grommet to the inside right? You'll have to swap that over
Re: D16y7 to D16y8
hmm im sorta confused on that.. Lets see, it seems the harness for a non-vtec has both o2 sensors connections.Where the harness for a v-tec only has one? I believe your right the o2 sensor after cat runs up through the floor. So I dont know where or how it connects to the ecu yet. I guess ill follow it up on the ex in the morn and see if I can figure it out.

BTW SHE RUNS , Im so fkn stoked The sob started right up first go. If i was young I would of done cartwheels around the yard. I mean WOW . I just need to figure out my o2 sensor proubs. I have 2 proubs . 1... I have to figure out how to connect the down-stream o2 sensor since I dont see a connection on the harness, 2... The up-stream o2 sensor dosnt reach to the harness connection. I dont know why but it is about a foot short .also there both female I believe so I dont know right now.One thing at a time I guess , Im just happy it started.
Once again Colin42 ty so much for helping me.

awesome dude! where is the harness connection? inside the cabin or in the engine bay? rockauto does list 2 different sensors, one 96-98 and one 99-00, you can also buy o2 sensor extension harnesses Re: D16y7 to D16y8
I have some proublems though. The car starts up and drives around the neighborhood ok until it warms up. Once it warms it bogs out and wont start.
Im getting 3 codes po131,po135,and po141 .All 3 i think are o2 related. Should the car run without any o2 sensors hooked up or should I start looking at something else?
I hope that this is caused from the up-stream o2 sensor not being hooked up.Its not hooked up cuzz 99-00 harness o2 connection is male as is the o2 sensor connection.
So this is what I think....The car starts cold becouse its in open loop thus running off set perimeters then when warm its trying to run from what the sensor is giving. What I dont know is if a o2 sensor will cause this or something else? That is entirely a guess. Plz chim in if you have any other thoughts.

Without O2 sensors, the ECM will stay in open loop all the time.
