ok i have a 1998 honda civic ex none v-tec but i want to put a v-tec motor in it but dont wanna change motor mounts are do alot of custom mods to get it to fit so what motor could i put in that is v-tec without doing all that

The 1998 EX came with VTEC, like most of the EX trims in the last 20 years. Should be a D16Y8. The lower models came with a D16Y7 which is non-VTEC. Are you sure it's an EX?

Dude, is it a d16y8, d15b or what. You could just chance to a vtrc head. So you could keep the same setup
