Wondering how easy a d15b vtec swap will be on 98 hb

I got a stock d16y7. I was looking to throw in a cheap and simple swap while attaining some performance. Hoping someone could tell me how easy the d15bvtec would fit in my 98 hatch.
will i need different motor mounts?
How hard will the wiring and engine hookup be?
how long should i expect it to take?---given it will be my first swap, however i will have a few experienced buddies helping.
What other swaps will be cheap and relitively simple?(compared to other swaps).
should I just go with a d16y8 or other d-series vtec? Or should I go with the d15b because it will be purchased at japanpower with complete engine for 7bills?
will I have to buy some engine wiring and hose kit if i go with the d15b?

d15b will drop right in with the mounts you have, only extra wires you will need to run is the 3 vtec wires. also if the d15b is obd1 you will need to either convert your car to obd1 or convert the motor to obd2 really its just slapping an obd2 intake manifold on it like a y8.

and getting a the right ecu.

might be easier to just get a y8 and drop it in everything should plug in for the most part other then a couple sensors on the intake so its just a little customizing.
and running your vtec wires to the new ECU

I did a 99 y8 swap in my 97 hatch its was pretty simple and quick and really cheap.

I was in the same boat as you debating about d15 or y8
figured y8 would be easier.
