Hello got a ej8 with D16y8 with i/h/e and has new crank with all new bearings and that good stuff motor has 166000 miles on it motor is out of car right now anyhow I was wondering what yall think I should do either
1. D16 with cams
2. D16 with turbo
3. B16 with cams or turbo
I'm only a junior in high school won't be driving soon have to wait to retake my permit and go through drivers ed again (DUI at 15) but I have a job so making bank what would be the best route that I could afford make 8.75 at mcdees

Well, say you make about $300 a week (40 hours plus taxes). You go back to school in roughly 7 weeks, so that gives you about $2100 to spend. With that kind of budget, turbo is out of the question. Just throw cams in your D, freshen up the motor, pull about 165hp and call it a day. It'll be reliable, inexpensive, and still fun to drive.

No that wud be 300 every 2 weeks but im looking at a 84 rx7 now but I may just get it and keep both also should I at least change out the pistons in the d16 cuz the motor has 166000 also im afraid I may need to build the head if I get cams im fine with getting a after market head but afraid that if I got that or cams only the pistons will break
