Post Nitrous Express N-tercooler Air Cooler?

Anyone have any experience with this system on their turbocharged civic? If not, I may just go ahead and do this to do a little experimenting.

Nitrous is totally an option with forced induction systems...not sure what they're talking about. Though nitrous is usually used to help spool a large turbo up faster, there are plenty of guys with superchargers and nitrous. Plus if you're looking for an aftermarket cooling system, I'd recommend the Cry02 system over that.

I dont think they are meaning that they cant be combined, I think they just worded it incorrectly. I think they mean for those that dont want to combine that this may be an alternative. I know Nitrous is usually used for the purpose your talking about which is all essentially able to produce almost no turbo lag either.

Oh, that makes a lot more sense. Still, $500+ is a little pricey. You could set up a meth system for less. Also, from what I understand meth is a lot easier to work with tuning wise than nitrous.

Nitrous is cool, but it's like paying cover before walking into a bar, you're paying a little up front and a lot more once you get started. Filling up that bottle gets expensive quick.

I would add meth or more aggressive cams if the prior owner didn't for consistent power that doesn't cost a fortune.

Yea, turbos are great, but they are everywhere. I would have went supercharged if he didn't turbo it. But I am not going to go back on it now. I already have cams on my to do list and Ill have to look into the Meth injection and see what that is all about. I just wish I had a shop for all of this...

Yeah I feel ya. Sometimes I just want to hand it to a shop and be like "Here, and here's my credit card, call me when it's done." The most annoying part about working on cars is finding out you don't have the right freaking tools.

thats not a nitrous kit, dont let the name fool you. its a standalone CO2 cooling system that mounts on the intercooler to make it colder.

Says it could use nitrous too, though. I guess I didn't make the connection between air inlet temperatures and requiring an inter-cooler. Still though... this is probably the most confusing website...they advertise the other products just the same. They keep saying they have done dyno tests yet they don't post them on the website. That's a good indication that this website is full of

Re: Nitrous Express N-tercooler Air Cooler?

the system you originally posted is just the intercooler system, all it does is spray nitrous across the intercooler to cool air temps, we have other system available if you are wanting to spray into the intake tube. spraying into the intake will increase hp by dropping air temps along with whatever gain you see from the normal nitrous jetting, and in most cases totally eliminate turbo lag call or pm if you have any questions

Re: Nitrous Express N-tercooler Air Cooler?

Thanks for setting the record straight. How does this system compare to the Cry02 systems on the market?

Yea the tool issue is definitely my largest and well space. Living in a condo complex with a tiny garage doesn't help any either... but hey its a garage either way.

Nitrous Express:
I would also like to know how well your system compares to others on the market as well as efficiency standards. Do you have any dyno sheets from any vehicles, preferably civics, but like models will do?

Re: Nitrous Express N-tercooler Air Cooler?

I wasn't paying enough attention in my prior response, I just quickly follow the link, saw the bottle, assumed standard nitrous kit spraying into the intake tube

Nitrous express:
Most of the people I've run into who have a kit dedicated to cooling the intercooler are running nearly dedicated track cars, where the car sees very hard abuse and the engine and turbo kit is being pushed to the max. On a street car that sees occasional nitrous use, when the engine isn't being pushed exceptionally hard and the intercooler temps are moderate, I assume the gains would be more limited. Would I be correct in that statement?

Under the aforementioned conditions, I assume that a nitrous kit spraying directly into the intake would be much more efficient, since it would relies less on the driving style immediately preceding it's use?
