Hello everyone. I am new to the forum and kinda new to the honda tuning. I have a 1999 Honda Civic Si with a B20b bottom end and B16a2 head. Setup includes forged pistons,rings,rods, skunk2 dual tension valve springs,titanium retainers,Integra type R cams, and skunk 2 cam gears. Also it is running a Greddy turbo kit as well. Fully tuned with neptune software to the tune of 325whp @ 10psi on 91 octane. My question is more so how dependable and durable will this setup be? I dont rag on my cars and he hasnt either to my best knoweledge.

Also it is running 9.5:1 compression as well. I assume maintenance will be upkept by me very well. I also understand it is a performance orientated setup. But does anyone have any ideas roughly with all that in mind of what kind of mileage/reliability this combo will give me?

Isn't that an assload of psi on those thin cylinder walls?

i would think you would need at least a blockgaurd to help prevent the sleeves from walking. or you can sleeve it. if your running that much power i think it should be sleeved.

Im not sure about sleeves walking out. But I am told that 12psi is max. for that block. Im running 10psi to be safe. Should help a little having forged pistons,ring,rods though shouldnt it?
I believe they are Arias pistons and Eagle Rods if anyone wanted to know. Future plans are to sleeve though. That way I can turn theboost up a bit to like 17psi

Sorry. Im still fairly new to the honda tuning. As well as turboing N/A cars. Always had factory boosted vehicles. But I am learning quickly

Your best bet is hondatech for info IMO. Get yourself a nice engine management system (Neptune, Megasquirt, AEM EMS, Hondata, Apexi Power FC, etc.)preferably a standalone and a nice tune and you'll be set. Sounds like you have a really nice build and should produce some sick numbers with all that displacement.

Yeah it does put out pretty good numbers. I should be set then. It has a good tune already. Im running Neptune Software tuned to 325WHP@ 10psi on 91 Octane. Also has a OBD1 conversion with Innovate Wideband O2 sensor

I know the b20 has thin walls but if your motor is built correctly and tuned well you should have no issues. The only thing I'd really worry about is that tranny if you beat on it.

Yeah I figured that much. So Im glad to hear that. I know it has a upgraded clutch. But what should I do to the drivetrain to beef it up as well? Like the usual- LSD, half shafts?

I dont know much about tranny's for the B series but I know the GSR trannies are very popular with your swap. Here is some info I found.

I may look into that. I know I at least need to get a Limited Slip Differential
